Sponsor a runner

It is now possible to sponsor a runner for $20.00. The nicknames for the women participants are on the KSDS website so we are hoping that individuals in the community will decide to sponsor the runners. The race date is getting close, and we're working hard to reach our goal. Norma and Carol will be on KSNT early news show this Friday morning about 6:20 to talk about the upcoming race.

  1. The fabulous news? This event has raised $7,642.25 for KSDS! Who would have ever thought that in these times an amount this grand was possible!!! Thanks to our many friends, supporters, dog lovers, families.

I have received many emails asking how to sponsor runners. Check out the nicknames- there are some interesting ones- and sponsor that runner if you like. The women are grateful for your committment to their race.

  2. Suzanne and I spent a most enjoyable evening on Tuesday at Brewster Place Retirement Center in Topeka speaking with the residents about Running Free and the 5K 4 K9 event. We had a warm reception and we answered many questions about both KSDS and Running Free. A big thanks to Brewster for inviting us to come!

And the news about donations: $8,453.25!!!
I am so proud of the women of Running Free...this is their story and I feel so blessed to have been along for the wonderful ride. If you haven't yet sponsored a runner, please do! We would love to have your sponsorship through April 11, the date of our event!!!

Thanks again to everyone for their votes of confidence and support throughout this journey.

  3. If these women, at their lowest point in life, can still put others first, why can't we?? Cheers to the Volunteers who are making a difference! What an inspiration.
